Regional “Learn and Touch” events provide rare hands-on training

Atlanta-based Gunold , supplier of premium embroidery supplies, has partnered with embroidery expert and author Deborah Jones and digitizing expert Daniel Fucci to provide hands-on classes for commercial embroiderers. Gunold President Mark Wasson explains, “We saw a need for training that goes beyond the basics provided with an equipment purchase, and the response to our hands-on approach has been phenomenal. Attendees tell us that our classes have really helped their businesses.”

Digitizing Training Plus Embroidery Technique Class

Embroiderers enjoy focused training in digitizing using the Sierra Stitch Era software, with free software provided to each registrant. Students may bring their own laptops or use one of the loaner laptops provided by Gunold. “We start with the basics of digitizing theory and demonstrate how to use each tool in the software to create an embroidery logo,” says Wasson. “We believe this 2-day class is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn important skills from some of the best in the industry,” he adds.

Comprehensive training is also offered on embroidery techniques, including special effects such as three-dimensional embroidery using embroidery foam. Instructed by Deborah Jones, author of “Machine Embroidery on Difficult Materials” and “Dimensional Machine Embroidery”, the presentation is accompanied by a wide variety of stitched samples.

Classes are held in full-service hotel across the U.S. Lunch and breaks are included in the registration fee. For more information, visit http://www.gunold.com/ or call Gunold National Sales Manager Suzan Edge, 800-432-3781.
